Sculptor Jeff De Boer Creates Adorable Armour For Mice

Jeff De Boer, a sculptor, has had a fascination with the medieval era from a young age, including the intricate details of armor and jewelry. Inspired by this, he decided to create miniature metal armor for mice and other animals. What started out as a fun art project turned into a huge success, resulting in hundreds of unique miniature armors being created for small rodents.

Each of De Boer's armors is handcrafted and contains small details made from materials like steel and brass. He draws inspiration from a variety of historical periods, including the Roman gladiators, Polish cavalry, Ottoman army, and Japanese samurai.

It's important to note that De Boer's armor is not designed to be worn by real animals after a bad experience he had during a Japanese TV show. Nevertheless, the armors are like little jewels, requiring meticulous work and attention to detail, often incorporating jewelry to complete the final look.
