These Mysterious Sculptures Offer a Magical Side to Finnish Forests
If you have the opportunity to walk in the Finnish forests during your next trip, keep your eyes peeled because a few surprises may come your way. Indeed, the artist Kim Simonsson has installed ceramic Mysterious sculptures there that offer a magical side to the landscapes.
Although at first glance the various Mysterious sculptures of children inspired by Nordic fairy tales and folklore appear to be covered in moss, the latter is actually much more robust than they appear.
They were made by hand, then painted and covered with nylon fibers by the Finnish sculptor to give the impression of being made of a green material called lichen.
In this artistic project entitled Moss People, the creative artist simply let his imagination give life to intriguing and poetic characters. We thus distinguish a little girl wearing a crown of flowers nestled on a rock, and a young warrior who seems straight out of the world of Zelda, but also more sad and intriguing personality.
We let you discover below the ceramic sculptures mimicking being covered with moss by the artist Kim Simonsson. To find out more, you can visit his Instagram account or his website.
