Marvelous Ultraviolet Ink Luminous Tattoos by Jonny Hall
If you’ve been following us for a while on StuffMakesMeHappy, you know that we love to highlight creativity in all its forms. So after the surprising tattoos That Come Alive With Your Body Movements or those with a grainy texture by the artist Velco, we wanted to share with you the intriguing ultraviolet tattoos by Jonny Hall.
Ultraviolet tattoos, also known as blacklight tattoos, are tattoos that are made using ultraviolet reactive ink. This type of ink is visible under ultraviolet light, giving the tattoo a fluorescent glow. These tattoos are often used as a form of body art that is both unique and eye-catching, especially in low-light environments. Unlike traditional tattoos, ultraviolet tattoos tend to be more subtle and can only be seen under specific lighting conditions, making them perfect for people who want a more discreet form of body art.
The artist based in Sydney, Australia, who is nicknamed UVealism, has established himself over the years as an expert in this discipline which is still very little practiced in the world. In addition to making sublime black ink tattoos with meticulous details, he masters all the codes of UV tattooing. This technique requires special invisible ink that only reveals itself with the help of an ultraviolet lamp.
For each of his creations, he underlines certain contours and fine lines with ink invisible to the naked eye. The drawings will then react if exposed to ultraviolet rays and black light. These small luminous details will come to accentuate the final drawing by giving it a rebellious and fantastic side. An astonishing and very creative result that still leaves us in mind a few health questions about the ink used.
