The Realistic Sculptures of Wild Animals in Cardboard by Josh Gluckstein

To highlight endangered animal species and encourage their protection, artist Josh Gluckstein creates gigantic and realistic 3D sculptures in the likeness of wild animals from recycled materials.

With his 15 years of experience, the London designer has largely proven himself. Continually seeking new challenges, he took advantage of the confinement to start a new artistic series in order to raise public awareness of the threat of extinction hanging over many animals.

Using cardboard and various recycled materials, he embarked on the design of life-size 3D sculptures of strikingly realistic wild animals. This passion for animals is not new since he also specializes in animal portraits and documentaries for specialized channels such as the Discovery Channel and National Geographic Adventure Magazine.

These different projects led him to travel to Africa, Asia and South America, which had a considerable impact on his work and the vision he wanted to give it. He then favored recycled materials for their ecological character but also their accessibility at a lower cost. Whether panda, pangolin, giraffe, turtle or elephant, each animal looks larger than life.

We let you admire below the magnificent sculptures of wild animals in recycled material made by Josh Gluckstein. To find out more, do not hesitate to visit his website or his Instagram account. And among the artists who have carried out similar projects, we invite you to (re)discover Calvin Nicholls’ 3D paper sculptures that bring animals to life.
