Illustrator Rafael Mantesso Stages His Dog in Funny Situations
Our four-legged friends are our best friends and we share everything with them, good times and bad. And when it comes to getting silly, we’re often on the same page, like illustrator Rafael Mantesso who creates creative and fun scenes with his beautiful Dog bull terrier.
On his 30th birthday, the Brazilian creative was left by his wife, who took all the things with her… except for their bull terrier Jimmy Choo, whose name is a nod to its creator. With a heavy and saddened heart, he looks around and sees only white walls and empty rooms.
Observing Jimmy Choo lounging near one of the walls, he had the idea of drawing directly on the white paint to create a comical scene that he immediately immortalized. For several years, he had abandoned his passion for drawing for lack of inspiration before the latter abruptly returned at a gallop.
The cute dog was born ten years ago, and now Jimmy Choo is the star of this very original artistic series. We observe him in particular urinating in a urinal, savoring a glass of wine, or sharing a plate of spaghetti with Belle from the animated film “Lady and the Tramp”. Sometimes, his master disguises him with a wig or accessories to create even more hilarious scenes.
