It is not uncommon to see creative people drawing inspiration from their elders by diverting or re-appropriating their artworks. And this is precisely what the artist Hannah Rothstein does with originality and derision, who imagines the meals if they had been prepared by famous painters according to their artistic style.

The creative artist based in San Francisco, California is keen to share her ironic humor in her projects. She thus began this unusual artistic series in 2015 on the occasion of Thanksgiving where she created different plates in a nod to renowned painters.

Using sauce, corn, green beans, mash, and a plate (sometimes broken), she uses each food to imitate the artistic touch of painters such as René Magritte, Pablo Picasso, Vincent van Gogh, Andy Warhol, Keith Haring, Salvador Dali or even Jean-Michel Basquiat and pay tribute to their most emblematic works.
