Mattel Unveils A Barbie With The Image Of Queen Elizabeth II For Her 70 Years Of The Reign
The Queen of England, Elizabeth II, celebrated her 96th birthday last month and will celebrate her 70 years of reign, also called the Platinum Jubilee, next June. To honor him, the toy company Mattel announced the release of a Barbie doll bearing his image.
The doll was imagined by designer Robert Best and therefore integrates the special Tribute collection created by the American group in 2021, already bringing together several personalities such as the artist Frida Kahlo or the NASA engineer Katherine Johnson. The Queen's replica sports one of her signature outfits, an ivory-colored dress with a blue sash set with Royal Family decorations as well as her coronation tiara.
The Barbie Elizabeth II is now available for presale on the Mattel website for 70 euros. A nice tribute and a nice buzz in line with the company's marketing strategy. And remember, Mattel recently unveiled other unexpected Barbies like the one featuring French influencer Lena Situations.
