Jeff Cole Turns Pop Culture Characters into Creative Sneakers

The sneaker market has been booming in recent years and many brands are taking advantage of this to create sometimes very unusual collaborations. For some, they have become a real source of inspiration, like the American artist Jeff Cole who brilliantly repurposes the most famous pairs according to characters from pop culture.

An illustrator by profession, the creative worked for various brands before starting his artistic project in 2013. During this period, sneakers began to gain interest on the Instagram social network, which he did not fail to notice. Very intrigued by the upcoming release of the Nike Air Yeezy 2 Red October sneakers, he had fun transforming the shoes to represent the face of rapper Kanye West using Photoshop and Illustrator.

Since then, Jeff has continued to expand his collection of digital works and many pairs have passed through his hands. We find in particular Air Jordan using materials from the hand of Thanos, Nike Kobe taking the look of the Grinch, and Air Force 1 taking that of Pikachu but also Jordan 14 in the colors of the Power Rangers. In short, original transformations will delight both sneakerheads and pop culture lovers.

Discover below a selection of sneaker revisits by the talented Jeff Cole, to be found on his Instagram account which has already attracted more than 827,000 subscribers. And in a similar spirit, we invite you to (re)discover the creative and incredible Shoe Cakes in our one of the best collections.
