Illustrator Nitro Turns Animals into Manga Characters

To satisfy his two passions, the Korean artist Nitro simply decided to combine his interest in animals by drawing. How? ‘Or’ What? He amazingly created manga characters inspired by animal photographs.

For each of his creations, the designer meticulously studies the shots chosen to extract the distinctive characteristics of each animal which will serve as a basis for illustrating his characters. Using its creation software, these animals will thus come to life in the form of humans (or for some humanoid creatures).

Through his series of illustrations, the young artist also wishes to highlight endangered animal species. This is why he favors some of them, such as black leopards, bald ibises, Damascus goats, and black crested macaques.
