The Winners of the Canadian’s Most Frosty Haircut 2022 Competition "Hair Freezing Contest"
Canada is known for its very cold winters that can last several months. Although its snowy landscapes make more than one dream, they have also given some unusual ideas to its inhabitants. Since 2011, some have had a great time during the unusual competition called “Hair Freezing Contest”, which has become a real tradition.
This zany challenge takes place every year in February in the hot mineral water pools of Takhini in Whitehorse in the city of Yukon. If initially, only 10 people had taken up the challenge, there are now several hundred candidates who come to wear their most crazy hairstyles.
The principle is simple: participants dive into natural springs whose average temperature is 47 degrees. Then they take their heads out of the water where the outside temperature is around -30 degrees to create a thermal shock causing their hair to freeze.
The competition is divided into 5 categories including the best men's cut, the best women's cut, or the most creative cut. And it also allows each winner to win the sum of 1400 euros and free baths in natural springs.
So we let you discover below these hairstyles totally far-fetched that are worth a look! To learn more about this contest, you can visit the official website hairfreezingcontest. com.
