Unbelievable Food Carvings That Are Too Delicious To Eat by Gaku
If you thought you had seen it all, Japanese artist Gaku’s incredible sculptures might change your mind. This type of artwork is usually made in bronze, metal, or clay, but today, artist Gaku preferred to choose fruits and vegetables to express his creativity as “Unbelievable Food Carvings That Are Too Delicious to Eat.”
Initially, this creative became known thanks to his works sculpted in fruit. Showing astonishing meticulousness, he quickly became a specialist in the culinary arts and in particular in the Japanese technique called “Mukimono”, which makes it possible to sculpt complex shapes in fruits and vegetables.
Whether it’s flowers, labyrinths, dragons, or even eagles, nothing seems impossible to him and is always brilliantly done. But recently, it was a representation of a fish fashioned from the stalk of broccoli, which took him more than 3 hours of work, which caused a sensation, counting more than 14,000 reactions on Instagram in just a few days.
We can very clearly distinguish its scales, its gills, and also its various fins, including the caudal which comes to finish its shape in the head of the broccoli.
Discover below a selection of works as original as they are unusual by the artist Gaku, also to be found on his Instagram account.
