Winning Pictures of the Environmental Photographer 2021
As the end of the year approaches, the various photography competitions are sparingly announcing their winners and the Environmental Photographer of the Year, which rewards the most inspiring environmental photographs, is no exception.
Since its creation in 2007, the competition Environmental Photographer of the Year has sought to highlight the sometimes difficult reality facing the world and our planet. And this year, more than 7,000 pictures by professional and amateur photographers from 119 countries and divided into 7 categories were received in order to award the winner with the title of environmental photographer of the year and the sum of 12,000 euros. .
For this 14th edition, the winners were announced at COP26 which was held in Glasgow (Scotland) from 31 October to 12 November. And it is the Spanish photographer Antonio Aragón Resignation who won the 1st prize with his photograph entitled “The sounds of the rising tide” where we observe a sleeping child in a house destroyed by coastal erosion on the beach of Afiadenyigba in Ghana.
