The Extraordinary Balloons of The Thanksgiving Parade In New York

On November 25, the long-awaited Thanksgiving feast, celebrated for more than a century by thousands of Americans, was held last November, which aims to celebrate the year that has just passed around a good stuffed turkey.

But in New York, this national holiday is also accompanied by a large parade organized by the American chain of stores Macy’s where giant balloons and musical processions parade for three hours.

For this comeback with great fanfare after its cancellation in 2020 due to the pandemic, the parade this year honored pop culture with no less than 36 inflatable structures including 15 huge balloons representing cult characters.

New Yorkers were able to marvel at Pokemon, Pikachu and Eevee, the animated characters from our childhood Sonic; SpongeBob accompanied by Gary or even Goku, the hero of the manga Dragon Ball. But the one who has caused the most sensation will remain the adorable dog Snoopy disguised as an astronaut. A nice moment of sharing and conviviality that certainly brings back good memories!
