Ghostly Clouds Descending From the Sky By Illustrator Vorja Sánchez

Through a simple landscape photograph, the Barcelona designer Vorja Sánchez plunges us into a fantastic and surreal universe where ghostly clouds seem to reign supreme.

His series of works entitled Interventions came to him during a mountain walk. Vorja had the unpleasant sensation of being followed because of the moving clouds; equipped with her camera, she decided to immortalize the moment.

It was back in his studio that he came up with the idea of incorporating imaginary creatures into photography. Thus these ghosts with long arms and hypnotic gazes come to life in the different shapes of the clouds and give the impression of hiding behind the hills to surprise hikers and wild animals.

The peculiarity of Vorja's creations is that she is content to express her creativity by deflecting the clouds using design software without retouching the original photograph. It's his way of letting nature speak for itself and express all of its power.
