This Illustrator Adds Unusual Characters In Instagram Photos

Inspired by publications posted by strangers on Instagram, Brazilian artist Lucas Levitan mixes photographs and illustrations for a funny and quirky result. Drawing inspiration from very common landscapes, objects or public places, he manages to give them a new meaning by bringing his personal touch.

Simple photographs can therefore see a grandmother appearing on top of a bridge knitting, a monster capturing swimmers with a landing net in a public swimming pool or hanging out her laundry on the strings of a guitar and more. So many creative diversions that offer a fun new interpretation that the artist has grouped together in a series of illustrations soberly titled “Photo Invasion”.
