Inspirational Handmade Paper Cutting Art by Pippa Dyrlaga
In today's topic, we will discuss "Inspirational Handmade Paper Cutting Art by Pippa Dyrlaga". Pippa Dyrlaga is a British artist whose preferred medium is paper. She has been cutting for ten years.
Professional Female British Artist chose to take for the subject here icons of pop culture, and more particularly characters from the universe of Studio Ghibli. This Japanese animation studio gave us, among other things, Totoro, Princess Mononoke, Spirited Away, and the Castle in the Sky, elements of which we can see represented in this article.
The author indicates that she makes her artworks from a single sheet of paper, the pattern of which is first traced on the back then cut with a scalpel and sometimes enhanced with acrylic paint. The very slow process (it takes many hours for each drawing) is as important to her as the creation of the pattern and its path.
