Luxury and Emptiness: An Abandoned Hotel in Japan

Natalia Slobodskaya, a photographer from Poland, visited the island of Hachijo-jima, which is located three hundred kilometers from the capital of Japan. There she visited the huge Hachijo Royal Hotel, which has been vacant since 2006. The owners have thrown a luxury complex because of the un-profitability of its content. However, the photos turned out to be attractive, with a hint of sadness and loneliness with which the shabby walls of the once luxurious rooms are saturated.
