One of the most attractive destinations are the exotic Maldives. Tours of this wonderful place are becoming increasingly popular among experienced audience. Republic of Maldives is located in the equatorial waters of the Indian Ocean, about 700 kilometers south-west of Sri Lanka and is a chain of 20 atolls, which, in turn, made up of 1,192 coral islands. Of these, about 200 are inhabited. The total area of Maldives is approximately 300 km ². The state capital name is Male. It is the only city and port of the archipelago, which is located on the same atoll. Holidays in the Maldives enables modern man to feel like Robinson Crusoe - many atolls of the Maldives are still uninhabited.
